Introduction:
"Press Start", "Game Over", "Insert Coin to continue",
"Winners don't use drugs" ... Does that ring a bell ?
In my opinion, it all really began with Arcade emulation. About 5 years ago, Romulators
emulating a single old arcade game started popping up. Then the Incredible MaMe (Multiple
Arcade Machines Emulator) appeared and went growing. Fast. The first cabinet arcade games
we've been playing with years ago finally stroke back our memories thru those neat pieces
of code. The nostalgia syndrom brought back several kind of games/systems to life with
Mame, Raine (Taito), Callus (Capcom), System 16 (Sega 16bit boards), Modeler, Final burn
and several other emus.
Almost all the old arcade games are now emulated. Recent ones are also emulated and we
tend to break the "nostalgia only" policy.
However, if you want to see the games your daddies played with or want to beat 'em all
again, this is the appropriated section.
Also, if you don't know what the first video game was, if Double Dragon, Galaga or Out Run
do not ring a bell, do youself a favor and emulate.
